Y’all - September starts next Sunday. That’s HUGE in my world. The first of the month starts on a Sunday!!! 🤯It’s the perfect time to start a 30-Day Challenge.🙌🏼 This week, start thinking of new healthy goal that you can implement into your daily life. 💪🏼

Here are a few ideas:

Strive for Five - eat at least five produce servings per day.
Walk more - try to get at least 10,000 steps per day.
Sleep more - go to bed earlier. Sleep longer on the weekends.
Protein intake - eat at least 30 grams of protein with each meal. 100 grams per day.
More water intake - Use this calculator to see how much you should be drinking per day.

New May Goal: Try to get in at least 10,000 steps a day. 🙌🏼 This is something I’ll be working really hard towards and taking very serious. I’m even going to start wearing my Apple Watch again to make sure I’m getting in my 10,000 steps everyday. Let’s keep each other accountable - Good luck!

Happy Hanukkah Healthy Friends,

I hope you’re still finding time for yourself this week. Remember to schedule yourself first. Continue getting in your workouts and continue eating well most of the time.

What does “most of the time” mean? It means eating well most days, and maybe splurging during a (one) holiday dinner. It means eating healthy the whole week, and maybe having a few holiday cookies throughout the week. It does not mean eating a healthy breakfast and lunch and then splurging every single evening or having holiday treats every single day. 🤪

“Most of the time,” means you’re eating well throughout the week, and you only “treat yoself” a couple of times throughout the week, not throughout the day. Know the difference and you’ll be fine this holiday season. ☺️❤️💚💙

Just as a reminder, all of the above are perfectly good answers to events you do not wish to attend during the holiday season. 😉 No need to give excuses and no need to go to events that do not fill your bucket. Gone are the days of over committing and over scheduling.

Instead, we are using this holiday time to refocus on the things that really matter. I hope that still includes your fitness and your nutrition. 💪🏼Stay focused on you and the things that make you feel purposeful and fulfilled! Fill your cup first, then you’ll naturally want to pour out into others! ❤️💚💙
