Vein ablations done in both legs. Different procedure in each leg. Left leg was angry with infrared heat ablation and is still healing. Right leg much smoother with Vein-a-Seal procedure.

So here we are back! After setting this page up in September, things got a little away from me. Coaching BYC took a lot of my time and getting the kids to CX Nationals in Chicago in December ate up time. I’ve also had a long ongoing problem with my legs that was finally diagnosed late fall. Veinous Insufficiency. Basically my legs would constantly swell, throb and be sensitive to the touch. Over the holidays I had vein ablations done in both legs and it’s been awhile to heal. I feel like I am just now starting to get back in the saddle. Here we go!

20 Rule in effect today

Coach Hans' 20 Rule
20 oz. of fluids
20 grams of carbs
20 grams of protein
Within 20 minutes of completing hard workout.

It's not perfect but it is certainly easy to remember and and easy to prepare for post workout.

* Also, swam in 50 meter outdoor pool today which was nice.
