In this unique system (style), you will learn Katas or Forms and other techniques from the great Martial Art style called Kyokushinkai, founded by Masutatsu Mas Oyama. You will also learn forms and techniques from the great styles of Shotokan, founded by Gichin Funakoshi and Bando, which was introduced to the United States of America by Dr. Maung Gyi.

Event Description: BHACS features a diverse mix of enlightening
exhibits and activities that use "real people, real objects and real
stories" to accurately present important eras and extraordinary
achievements or events pertaining to the African American experience.
This tribute is comprised of interactive, educational, inspirational
exhibits; living legend history makers; documentary films; historical
reenactments; panel discussions; lectures by African American history
educators; visual artists / crafters; poetry readings; theatrical
performances; and historical musical concerts.

2014 Highlights:
Living Legends: Speaker will be 2013 Presidential Medal of Freedom
recipient Reverend Dr C.T. Vivian. Other living legend participants
include: Herb Douglas, oldest living African American Olympic medalist
(1948); Tuskegee Airmen; Montford Point Marines; Tina Sloan Green, 1st

To Frank Tasetano (husband), Trevor Tasetano, Chattie and McKe and Family. Today was a very sad day, however you all did a wonderful funeral service for your wife and mother. Kathi was one of the hardest workers and lovely person that we have ever met. Her legendary work will live forever. Your WORLD KARATE UNION HALL of FAME, has helped thousands of great Martial Artists (Karate People) all over the world be recognized for their hard works in their communities. My wife Wanda Dickerson and I, Robert Dickerson respected and enjoyed our moments of sadness and joy with you today. MUCH LOVE and RESPECT

Obituary

Kathryn "Kathi" Tasetano, 63, of Hamilton Twp., PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday evening, March 4, 2014, at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was born in Passaic, NJ, on June 16, 1950, a daughter of the late John L. and Patricia M. (Wilson) Torley. Kathi graduated from Clifton High School, Clifton, NJ, in 1968, and continued her education at the Mayer School of Fashion Design, New York City, NY, graduating in 1970. During the 1980's, she returned to college where she earned her Paralegal Degree in 1985. In 1996, she founded the World Karate Union Hall of Fame, of Stroudsburg, where she was the Director..
