My visit to the orphanage in Ghana stripped everything back to what truly matters. There are days when they have no food at all no toys no comforts just a daily struggle for basic survival.

Even when we give our children in America what we consider the bare necessities, they are still immensely blessed compared to those who have nothing. We must teach our youth how fortunate they truly are, instilling a spirit of deep gratitude for every plate of food and every simple comfort.

I thank God for fulfilling my dream to serve on a global level. Being called wherever He sends me is a privilege, and my heart remains committed to bringing hope, love, and support to children who need it most. I’m praying my city start getting clothes and toys together for me to bring back home to Ghana🇯🇲

You don’t have to change who you are or tone down your shine for anyone. Your skin is pure warmth, your spirit is unbreakable, and your presence matters. Tomorrow marks a whole new chapter for me. Let the countdown begin as this Camden girl heads to Ghana for my traditional enstoolment ceremony as Queen Mother! To take everything I’ve poured into my community and step onto this global, ancestral stage is truly humbling. I dreamt of this moment for over 30 years. Thank you to those who’ve chosen to travel with me to witness such an honor. For the little black girls in my city, know that you are Queens in the making.
