wrestling moms are the most underrated force in the entire sport

people love to talk about the grind

early mornings
hard practices
cutting weight
pushing through pain

but they rarely talk about the person who makes all of that possible

the mom

she is the first system of support an athlete ever has

before coaches
before teammates
before anyone else

she is there

driving across town after a long day
packing food
handling schedules
making sure nothing falls apart

and she does it quietly

she sits in those long tournaments
sometimes for ten hours
watching match after match
carrying the emotional weight of every single one

when her child loses
she feels it

not as frustration
but as pain

because she knows how much work went into that moment

and still

she shows up the next day

steady
supportive
present

no recognition
no spotlight

just consistency

and that consistency builds athletes

because confidence does not just come from winning

it comes from knowing someone is always in your corner

That’s a wrap for the 2025-2026 wrestling season. A huge thank you to Dana Miller and Brooke Wolgemuth for all of their hard work making this banquet so special!💙Thank you to Coaches Chad and Alex Gallaher and the wrestling staff. It was made very clear after hearing all of the senior wrestlers speak on how much these coaches are appreciated and loved. The heartfelt speeches were amazing and to see these wrestlers speak with such confidence and passion on what the coaches and the sport has done for them blew me away! It is definitely a brotherhood/sisterhood how these young men and women support each other. They will carry everything they have learned through this sport and their coaches for the rest of their lives!

A huge thank you to the anonymous donor for creating the Chad Gallaher Wrestling Scholar, in affect starting next year. This scholarship truly embodies every characteristics that is near and dear to Chad’s heart!
