Academy Of Fencing Masters Academy of Fencing Masters develops all level of fencers, from beginners to Olympic athletes, through It is a place where parents want to take their children.

Academy of Fencing Masters is a new concept fencing club and academy. AFM takes a completely different approach to the fencing experience, by looking at developing the fencer not only as an athlete but also as a valued individual in society. A place that we hope will feel like home. This is what Academy of Fencing Masters seeks to achieve: a love for life through the art of fencing. Our name reflects our core principles. An academy is where learning takes place; here fencers will learn about fencing and how to apply those skills to life. Fencing, a sport of intelligence and strength, trains the body and mind to work together with a mental acuity and physical prowess that few other sports demand. Combined with a code of conduct, fencing develops the whole person and the whole family by extension. By having a vibrant and supportive community for individuals and families to train and develop in, Academy of Fencing Masters takes the training experience beyond that of a student learning about fencing to an individual learning about life.

🥈 Silver at the Cascade Clash SYC!
We are so proud of Ava Wagenaar for earning 2nd place in Y10 Women’s Épée at the Cascade Clash SYC! 🤺
Ava competed without AFM coaches by her side. Even through tough and incredibly close DEs, she stayed brave, focused, and fought for every touch.
Ava shared that although her coaches were not physically there, she could still hear their advice—“coaching inside her head.” 😁 What a wonderful sign of growth, confidence, and independence!

The next day, it was so much fun to compete in the Y12 event with her AFM friends—and then relax and play foosball together! 😊

Congratulations, Ava! We are very proud of your wonderful result, courage, and strong spirit. And thank you to all the AFM coaches whose voices travel with our fencers wherever they compete! :)
