My new rescue mare, Belle, owned by OTTBs with Friends of Ferdinand Inc. received some special treatment by Grace McCoskey Keeton from Nova Equine Renovations. This mare arrived with quite a bit of tension and worry. In a short amount of time, she has already shown so much improvement in her confidence level and she is learning that she can relax and enjoy life around here. I expect big things for Belle’s future. She is friendly and kind and should do well in a variety of disciplines. She is going to make a great horse for an adult amateur or teen. Stay tuned for more updates on her progress. And if you have questions to see if Belle might be the right fit for you, don’t hesitate to reach out. Be sure to fill out an adoption application with FFI if you are interested in any of our available horses. Belle is not currently listed on the website since she is still being evaluated. But I am hopeful she will be ready before too long. ❤️🐎

Bought home a new FFI “pony”. Everyone seemed interested in being chosen. But after the 2yr old mustang loaded himself twice, we were able to load the horse I actually went to get. 🤣

The barn was very quiet today. All the horses had a reverent energy in honor of the loss of their lead mare. I’ve never experienced anything like it when we’ve lost other horses. They just know. 💗🐎😢 Thank you all so much for the condolences and love shown here on the book of faces as well as privately. I am humbled. Backdraft touched more lives than I even realized and I am blessed to be a part of such a loving horse community. This is a huge loss for me and it’s going to take some time to find my balance. I am especially grateful for my husband. He has been my rock through it all. ❤️

The horses loved their sessions with Grace McCoskey Keeton today. I find this Craniosacral work so fascinating. I’ve applied to host a clinic to learn this modality. Hopefully we can get approved and have enough interest to make it happen. Check out the pics of all the releases and processing the horses worked through today. ❤️ I missed getting pictures of Ima, but she made a lot of positive changes, too.
