Doesn’t look like Canandaigua lake today

30 plus years fishing Canandaigua and caught some spectacular fish but tonight was a first. Here is a walleye that we caught over deep water trolling for Rainbows. I’m still in shock.

Steady couple weeks of fishing with decent catch rates. Water was a bit cloudy and made fishing tough. Several trips we caught more rainbows than lakers. 2 separate groups from Ohio and another group from Virginia.

First Laker of the season. Somewhat slow first morning but this fish had the “2 mouth” deformation. I usually get a few of these each season. Not the biggest of the day but they all fight good in the cold water.

Early spring jigging has been good. South end is producing some nice fish. Landed 15 on a half day afternoon trip. Lost a bunch more.

Mike is always looking to catch the biggest fish of each species on my boat each year. I think he has the laker locked up for Canandaigua this year! Just over 17lbs.

Blazing hot day Monday but we managed a decent haul of fish including this nice bow. Mike did a great job keeping him on with several nice jumps.

Out with Gordon , Buddy, Taylor and Hatch today. Steady pick of Lakers and a nice Brown. Hatch got the biggest of the day with this big laker that ran line several times before hitting the net. Big fish was released to fight another day.
