Movement that is gentle yet strengthening. No need to overdo or to look picture perfect.

To anyone who went to sign up for my Sunday morning class, the cost is $20 per class not what was listed on my website. I had changed it several times to reflect an individual class, not a package of a group I was running, but it didn't take. I think it's all set not.
Hope to see you Sunday.

Looking for a yoga class for Menopause? Sunday mornings 8:30-9:45 join me.
Clear your mind, reenter your body and give yourself some love. Today I was listening to an interview with Sean Corn about her Menopause journey. She said it perfectly.
When she steps onto her mat she thinks "How am I right now?" "What do I need right now?" This is exactly what this class allows, for you to ask your body. "How am I right now? What do I need?" This really resonated with me. Its how I approach exercise and my mat every day. There's no benefit to pushing through, to forcing, to making your Menopause body be like it used to be.
Be with how it is now. It's ok to rest, ok to slow down, ok to be how you are. Join us this Sunday. Register here:

Sometimes life feels like A LOT! Especially when you are in Peri-Menopause. Some days can feel like a race to the end of the day when you can lay down and close your eyes. Most days I need to close my eyes well before the end of the day, just to keep balanced at all.
This can be one of the hardest things to get others to understand if they aren't there. It seems CRAZY that we would NEED, with a Capital N, these moments of rest but they are crucial to survival in Menopause. For a yogi who was always striving to move steadily through and not linger in one place for too long, it has been a huge shift in my life and my practice. I went from being unstoppable to being stopped dead in my tracks by exhaustion, full body fatigue, and joint pain. My body tells me in no uncertain terms. STOP!
What do you need to be different in your life right now in Peri-Menopause? What can't you do without? What is it that you are denying or doing despite your inner voice telling you to stop?
It has been really hard speaking up about my needs and taking the time for myself, but I try to do it anyway. Ask my family what happens when I don't. It isn't pretty. Take time to slow down, go inside, rest, and eat well. You will thank yourself and so will your family. I have been learning about myself, about herbs that support me, about slow moving intentional yoga and about what it really means to be in a healthy relationship (family, self, kids).
Join my Sunday morning yoga for Menopause class and have an opportunity to share your story with other women, to hear from other women, to get and give advice and support. Your body will thank you.
