For those of you just finding out about deptofspeed.com events at Pats Acres Racing Complex, we are a motorcycle track-day company that offers affordable and accessible track events for all types and sizes of motorcycles. Whether you are a first time track-rider or a racer, we cater to everyone to provide a safe place for you to practice and have fun on your motorcycle. Over half of our customers are street riders who ride their bikes out to the track.

Pats Acres is roughly a mile long track that features a front straightaway where you can get upwards of 80mph. It’s a tight and twisty track that is both inviting enough for new riders, and challenging enough for veteran riders.

We offer free lap timing from FP1 Laptimes thanks to our sponsor Competiton Werkes. Simply put a FP1 sticker on your bike that has the RFiD chip in it on your bike that we provide for free, and you can keep track of your lap times at all of our events! It’s a fun way to track progress and see how you stack up against the field.

We run a 3 group format: A, B and C group.

C group is our “relaxed” group for newer riders. If you’re riding on track for the first time, you’ll start here. We occasionally have some more experienced riders in this group on slower bikes like Honda Groms. Bike size doesn’t dictate what group you run in. It’s primarily your experience level and lap times.

B group is our “intermediate” group. Once you’ve gotten too fast for C group, you’ll move up here. A lot of our regulars who are riding street legal motorcycles are in this group. It’s also common for racers on mini road race bikes to be in this group.

A group is our “advanced” group. It’s usually full of Supermoto’s and track-dedicated sport-bikes. Occasionally we have a couple faster riders on street-legal bikes in here too. If you’re under a 1 minute lap time, this is your group.

Reminder to bring your own food and beverages and stay hydrated tomorrow! There will be a lunch break at 1pm so you can run into town to pick up lunch.
