Exciting Matchups and Weekend Action Ahead for Local Soccer Teams

Canon City is gearing up for a thrilling week of soccer action, featuring key matchups for varsity and youth divisions alike.

The schedule highlights a major Varsity Game taking place this Tuesday at 5:00 PM at Dutch Clark Stadium.

In addition to Tuesday's varsity showdown, youth teams have a busy lineup ahead:

U14 Boys: Preparing for their first two games this weekend, featuring one away game and one home game.

U11 Boys: Set to play at home.

U14 Girls: Also playing at home.

Fans, families, and community members are encouraged to come out, support local student-athletes, and wish all teams good luck this week!

Florence & Cañon City Elks Lodges to Host Free Youth Soccer Shoot on August 23
Florence Elks Lodge #611 and Cañon City Elks Lodge #610 are teaming up to host a Soccer Shoot on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Pathfinder Park. The event is completely free and open to all boys and girls in the Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, and Under 16 age divisions.
Registration begins at 9:00 AM, with the shoot starting at 10:00 AM. Participants will compete for the chance to advance to district, state, and regional levels through the Elks National Soccer Shoot program.
Families are encouraged to come out, cheer on local youth athletes, and enjoy a morning of community and sport

⚽🐯 CANON CITY TIGERS SOCCER IMPORTANT DATES 🐯⚽

The Canon City Tigers Boys Soccer program is excited to announce several important upcoming dates for players and families as preparations begin for the season!

Optional practices will be held from 7:00–9:00 a.m. at Canon City Middle School on the following dates:

📅 August 3
📅 August 4
📅 August 6
📅 August 7

These sessions are a great opportunity for players to get back on the field, improve their skills, build fitness, and prepare for the upcoming season.

Official team tryouts will take place on August 10 and August 11 from 4:00–5:30 p.m. at Canon City Middle School. All players interested in participating are encouraged to attend both tryout dates.

Additional preseason dates include:

📣 August 15 — Scrimmage: TBA
⚽ August 20 — Game: TBA

Please note that all registration items must be completed and turned in before a player is eligible to participate. Families are encouraged to make sure all required paperwork and registration materials are submitted before tryouts and the start of the season. NO BLUE SHEETS THIS YEAR!!!
