HVCI (High Volume Continuous Interval) is a powerful tool to induce central fatigue and tap your Oxidative Energy System through prolonged, medium intensity intervals with adequate active recovery periods between each work interval. The goal is to maintain work output throughout the entire training period. 5X5 is 5 reps per exercise repeated through 5 intervals. Today I added a 60 second rowing interval at the beginning of each round to up the fatigue factor.
