🏁 HOPRA Circle of Honor – 2026 Inductee 🏁

It is with great honor that we posthumously welcome Randy Kemp into the HOPRA Circle of Honor as a member of the 2026 Class of Inductees.

Randy was one of HOPRA's earliest champions and innovators. Despite living with muscular dystrophy, he became one of the sport's most dominant competitors, proving that determination and passion can overcome incredible challenges.

His remarkable 1972 season remains one of the greatest in HOPRA history, capturing the Indiana State Championship by winning seven of ten races, earning the top qualifier position, and claiming victory at the legendary Twin-N Nationals. He followed that performance with another major win at the annual Indiana vs. Michigan HOPRA race.

Beyond his success on the track, Randy was a true innovator. He became the first racer to win a HOPRA event using the then-newly discovered magnetism feature, forever changing the direction of competitive HO slot car racing. As the founder of K&K Racing Products, his motors powered the winning car at the very first HOPRA Nationals in 1975, leaving a legacy that helped shape the future of the hobby.

Randy's perseverance, competitive excellence, and contributions to HO slot car racing continue to inspire racers more than 50 years later.

Now that everyone has had a chance to settle back in after the 51st HOPRA Nationals, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a success!

A huge thank you to all of our incredible sponsors for your continued support of HOPRA. Your generosity helps make events like Nationals possible, and we truly appreciate everything you do for our organization.

A very special thank you to Lucky Bob’s Raceway for once again being such an outstanding host. From the racing to the hospitality, we are grateful for everything you do for our racers year after year.

Most importantly, thank you to every racer, family member, and friend who traveled to be with us. It was wonderful seeing familiar faces, welcoming new ones, and making memories together. The friendships and camaraderie are what make HOPRA so special.

As many of you know, summer is a busy time for everyone. Membership processing will be on a brief pause over the next couple of months, so there may be a slight delay in receiving new and renewed memberships. We appreciate your patience, and everything will be back up and running in September.

Hey guys! I have been so busy since the Nationals and trying to catch up on everything! One of the highlights we couldn’t wait to share is recognizing a truly deserving member of our racing family.

Tonight, we proudly recognize Bob Lincoln as a 2026 Circle of Honor Inductee.

In 1989, Bob founded Wizzard, building more than a company—he built a legacy that continues to shape the racing community today. Known to many as “The Wizzard,” Bob was admired for his relentless determination, stubborn grit, and constant drive to think about what was next. He never settled for good enough and inspired those around him to push for more.

Bob’s generosity was just as memorable as his competitive spirit. He always looked out for others, making sure they were taken care of, and he loved close, competitive racing. There was nothing he enjoyed more than seeing racers battle it out on the same lap until the very end.

Behind every great man is an incredible partner, and Bob’s wife, Cheryl Lincoln, was truly his other half. Together, they built Wizzard into what it is today through their shared dedication, hard work, and passion. His legacy also lives on through his son, RC Lincoln, who has built a respected name for himself while continuing the family’s impact on the sport.

Although Bob passed away on August 3, 2025, his vision, leadership, and passion continue to influence generations of racers.

Please join us in celebrating the life, legacy, and lasting impact of Bob “The Wizzard” Lincoln as we proudly welcome him into the Circle of Honor.

We had the incredible honor today of adding one more racer to the Circle of Honor. I was truly grateful to personally present this recognition to Mark Kitto.

I may not have been one of Mark’s Hobby Shop kids, but I always enjoyed spending time at Mark’s and racing HO cars. Mark opened his first hobby shop in 1995, and from that day forward, he dedicated countless hours to growing the hobby and helping develop some of Ohio’s finest racers.

His passion, mentorship, and commitment have left a lasting impact on our racing community. Congratulations, Mark, and thank you for everything you’ve done for generations of racers. Your legacy is well deserved.
