The 16u Spikes played in 6 tournament finals and won 3 in 2026. We're building on that for 2027 at 17u by returning a solid core and adding a few talented, dedicated players who want to train hard to prepare for the collegiate level. If that's you, register now at www.ohiospikes.org/tryouts

Ohio Spikes 12u Bowland earned its 40th win and a tournament championship to close the 2026 season! The Spikes earned three tough wins to claim the Midsummer Rumble title on Sunday at Sports Force Park in Sandusky. They avenged a pool play loss with a 3-2 victory over Fielder’s Choice. The Spikes then defeated Release 6-4 in eight innings. Cruz Hershberger tossed a complete game with 16 strikeouts and also drove in two runs with a double and single, while Miles Mazur added two singles and two RBIs. The Spikes closed it out with a 4-1 title game triumph over the Big Walnut Generals. Theodore Hunt drove in a pair of runs with two singles, and Blake Bowland singled twice. Congratulations Ohio Spikes 12u Bowland on a stellar 2026 season!!

Diamond Dreams is a tribute to my dad who passed away when I was just 16. My best memories are of playing catch with him in our driveway. Like me, my dad lost his father at a young age. As a result, baseball became more than a sport to him; it became a way to escape the harsh realities of growing up in poverty. In fact, back when every little boy wanted to grow up to be a big leaguer, my dad had a dream - a diamond dream - of playing professional baseball. That dream ended somewhere in the Midwest when he collided with a fence while chasing down a fly ball. The injury led him back home, and eventually, to playing catch with me in our driveway. So for my dad, and for all the dads and moms who create lasting memories with their sons and daughters just by playing catch... welcome to Diamond Dreams. The Ohio Spikes organization is beaming with pride today! The 2026 All-Ohio teams were released last night, and five members of our 2023 Ohio Spikes 15u Kraft team were named All-State!! Pictured from left are Kyle Moff (GlenOak, Division I) and Drew Graybill (Sandy Valley, Division V), who both earned Second Team All-Ohio honors. They’re joined by former Spikes teammates Jack Andes (North Canton Hoover, First Team Division II), Carter Lukens (Hoover, Second Team Division II) and Caden Dugan (Strasburg-Franklin, Honorable Mention Division VII). Two other former Spikes were honored, Landon Thiel (Jackson, First Team Division I) and Hunter Allison (Carrollton, Second Team Division IV). Congratulations to all of these former Ohio Spikes stars!!

The Ohio Sparkz are officially opening our rosters for the 2026/2027 season. We are expanding our program this year to include a 9u team, and will be fielding squads for 9u–14u. We are looking for athletes who want more than just "playing time"—we’re looking for players who want to develop.

At Sparkz, we value an earned mindset over anything else. If you are tired of the "daddy ball" dynamics and are ready to play for a program that prioritizes technical mechanics, High-IQ situational awareness, and real player development, we want to see you on the dirt.
