The FL State Championship was also a very cold day with wind blowing through the rodeo arena. I had a great day winning 15 matches in a row and then faced my friend Saltwater Cowboy. He is younger and faster and proved it by hitting 3 winning shots in a row, twice. I also was hitting but a .370 is definitely faster than a .410. So I was honored to be state runner-up. Other than the weather the Florida shooters have put on a great tournament. Today starts the 2 day National tournament.

September Cowboy Fast Draw Match was today. Finishing first for the ladies was Brown Eyed Girl, also with the fastest time. New shooter Bye Bye Birdie finished second and shot great in her first match. Third was Ruthless Annie.
For the men Syxkiller had the fastest time and finished first. Pale Rider was second. Barry James third with the long gun Fourth was Snakebit. Fifth was Cinco Kid, Sixth was Armadillo Bob and Seventh was Lightning Storm. Also shooting with the long gun was Rambunctious Red.
Next event is October 11, a Speed Match at 11am.
