⚾️ HOUSE OF SLUGGERS WEEKLY UPDATE ⚾️

I missed last week’s update, so let’s catch up! Two weeks ago in Mineola, ALL of our teams won both games. 🔥

Yesterday was another great day for HOS!

🟢 T-Ball Boys absolutely kicked some butt, outscoring their opponents 32-5!

🟢 7U — This group continues to step up every single weekend. Every one of these kids is straight out of T-Ball, and they went 1-1, losing one game by just 1 run in a nail-biter. They still put up 16 runs while only allowing 6.

🟢 10U & 12U — Combined over 4 games, these two teams allowed only 5 hits and outscored their opponents 45-12!

And here’s something I’m especially proud of:

Over the course of this season in Mineola, our teams have thrown a combined 5 NO-HITTERS. 🤯

Between our 10U and 12U rosters, we have 20 kids and 19 different pitchers have taken the mound.

That’s what development looks like.

Week in and week out, all of our coaches pour into these kids teaching them the game, building confidence, developing different positions, and holding them accountable.

The wins are great, but watching these kids grow and seeing so many of them contribute is what makes it all worth it.

I just want to thank everybody who has been a part of this journey. Today marks one year of House of Sluggers being in business!

Starting this whole deal wasn’t easy. There have been plenty of late nights and early mornings doing baseball whether it’s games, practices, or lessons. There have even been a couple of sleepless nights and nightmares worrying about everything that could possibly go wrong.

And not only are we here building a select baseball organization we’re here for the entire public and community. Whether you’re looking to rent cages, hold team practices, book birthday parties, or work on your game, we want House of Sluggers to be a place for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, believed in us, and been a part of this journey. One year down, and we’re only getting started!

About 5 weeks ago, a parent reached out to me about lessons and started telling me about some of the struggles his son was having with hitting and his swing.

One of the biggest challenges was how little vision he has in his left eye. We played around with having him swing from the left side, but after assessing his swing, I felt like mechanically he was much better from the right.

Within just 2 weeks of lessons, I had him hitting about 90% of the balls I threw to him. Fast-forward 4 lessons, and my guy just hit his FIRST over-the-fence home run! 💣

Like I’ve said before, our goal isn’t home runs. It’s about building confidence, improving mechanics, and helping these kids become better hitters.

But as a coach, I sure do love getting to root for my kids even when they aren’t on a House of Sluggers team.

Great job Bronc!! More to come.

🔥⚾️ INTRODUCING OUR NEWEST INSTRUCTOR — CHRISTIAN ZINCKE! ⚾️🔥

We’re excited to welcome Christian Zincke from Terrell, Texas to the House of Sluggers family!

Christian was a 4-year varsity starter and a member of the Class of 2021, before continuing his baseball career at Central Baptist University.

He’ll be offering both batting and pitching lessons, with his specialty being pitching development. Christian has also been part of the Top Velocity program with Brent Pourciau if you know, you know. 💪

Whether your athlete is looking to add velocity, sharpen mechanics, become a better hitter, or take their game to the next level, Christian brings the experience and knowledge to help get them there.

Over the last 2½–3 weeks, we’ve had one AC unit go down, and the other two simply couldn’t keep up with the triple-digit heat. 🥵

What I’m most grateful for? Not one customer came to me with a complaint. 🙏 That means a lot.

NOW… all three units are back up and running, and these babies are pushing air like never before! ❄️🔥

WEEK 2 RECAP 🔥⚾️

Another 7-1 week for HOS! 🔥

Most of the runs are coming out of our T-Ball teams, but our 10U & 12U squads are doing their part on the other side of the ball. Over the first two weeks, those two teams have allowed just 14 runs combined! 💪

Even more impressive — over our last 8 games, we’ve had 17 different kids step up on the bump! That’s what this is all about. 👏

Yes, winning is great, but our biggest goal is developing these kids, giving them opportunities, building confidence, and helping them become better players every time they step on the field.

And of course… we had a GREAT HOMERUN to top it off! 💣🔥
