Here are general ๐ tips/guidelines we share with our clients when it comes to beginning a healthy eating lifestyle:
1๏ธโฃ Keep a food diary for at least 2 weeks. Take notes if you notice any discomfort.
2๏ธโฃ EAT. Especially if you're working out: 3 meals + 2 snacks is our ideal frequency for most. But at the end of the day...
3๏ธโฃ Learn to listen to your body. If you're hungry, eat. If you're full, stop. We often ignore the cues our bodies send us & need to learn to become more body aware.
4๏ธโฃ Stick with 80-90% whole, clean foods. Think: did this food come from the earth (eggs, meats (fish, steak, turkey, etc.), fruits, veggies, potatoes, rice, raw sugar, etc.)? Or was this processed in a lab (crackers, soda, candy, splenda, pressed meat, etc.)? The chances of "getting fat" or being unhealthy from eating this way are โฌ๏ธ!
5๏ธโฃ Water, water, water. At least 50% of your LBs in oz!
