The City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing and maintaining parks, trails and recreational amenities like Cape Splash. Through innovation and community cooperation, we will develop leisure services, programs, and facilities that improve the quality of life for all citizens and benefit the economy of our community. Join us at the Halloween Hoopla!

This spooktacular event includes a costume contest beginning at 7:30 p.m. and other fun Halloween activities including pumpkin decorating, pumpkin bowling, trick or treat bags, & more! Come dressed up ready for a fun night! Best Costume, Funniest Costume & Creepiest Costume awarded!

For ages 12 & under.
The cost is $5/child and tickets will be sold at the door.

On Friday, October 9, 2026, the Haunted Hall of Horror will open for its first night of the 2026 season at the A.C. Brase Arena. This year we are celebrating 35 years of horror! This event is hosted by the City of Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department.
For 35 years, in the depths of the A.C. Brase Arena, there are still remains of those who haven’t escaped the Haunted Hall of Horror. It will take you on a long, dark journey through the nooks and crannies of the bowels of the A.C. Brase Arena. Those who enter should be prepared for endless mazes full of creepy clowns, a 3D Freak Show, an asylum, dolls that come alive, and so much more! All ages are invited, but kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

The 2026 season dates are October 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. each night.

Tickets are $12.00 per person, and ages 5 & under are free. Glow sticks are available for $1.00 each.

October 31 is student night with tickets being only $8.00 per person with a valid student ID.
