Monday mornings are an important part of your week. They can set the stage for the whole week, and will help you stay on track when things go wrong. When you’re motivated on Mondays, you’re more likely to stick with your goals and stick to a routine. By the time you’ve worked out, you’ll feel great! You’ll also feel a greater sense of purpose in life. You’ll be motivated and energized.

Today marks a new day, a new week and a chance to wipe the slate clean. It is an opportunity to get better. Today can be the day for you!

“Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction”

This says there will never be a perfect time to start a workout program or diet. This means you will miss workouts, skip meals and fall short at times due to life happening and things outside your control. If you have kids you already understand that things are just not going to go the way you may want them to go. That’s life!

This does not give you an excuse to miss a Monday or any day for that matter. Remember a half a workout is better than no workout. If you had a bad night sleep or are having a terrible week just show up. Sometimes showing up, going through the motions is all that you need. We tell our members to just show up and start there warmups. If they still feel like not training after warms up they can leave. Most of the time that’s all you needed to get you going.

Nothing in life is going to be perfect, just show up anyway, that’s where the progress is!

The first letters of each exercise in the workout spell SHAMROCK.

Note: Be sure to warm up and cool down thoroughly before this workout.

💚Do 17 reps of each exercise:

Squats
High Knees
Alternating Lunges
Mountain Climbers
Russian Twists
Overhead press
Crunches
Kettlebell (or dumbbell) swings

☘️For even more St. Patrick’s Day fun: Do this circuit 4x through, one for each leaf of a four-leaf clover. Take a 60-second break between rounds.

•FOOD TIP FRIDAY•

-Watch portion size-
Be careful not to overdo it when it comes to how much you eat before exercise. The general guidelines suggest:
* Large meals. Eat these at least 3 to 4 hours before exercising.
* Small meals or snacks. Eat these about 1 to 3 hours before exercising.

Eating too much before you exercise can leave you feeling sluggish. Eating too little might not give you the energy you need to keep feeling strong throughout your workout.

Some proteins consist of seafood, meat & poultry.
Healthy fats are avocado, all natural peanut butter, extra virgin olive oil.
Healthy carbs are fruits, oats, quinoa.

FOOD TIP FRIDAY:

If you exercise in the morning, get up early enough to finish breakfast at least one hour before your workout. Be well fueled going into a workout. Studies suggest that eating or drinking carbohydrates before exercise can improve workout performance and may allow you to work out for a longer time or at a higher intensity. If you don't eat, you might feel sluggish or lightheaded when you exercise.

Grace originally came into Hanley Strength with a few friends to do group classes; not knowing what was in store.

She ended up loving it and has continued to train consistently.

She has recently commited herself to semi-private training and has gotten stronger & leaner than ever.

Grace has great energy & is always one for cheering others to get better & do better!

It’s safe to say that she loves it here & Hanley Strength loves having her part of the crew!

Having both worked in traditional big box gyms, we became increasingly frustrated with the emphasis of flooding the gym with cheap memberships that rely on the member not showing up to make the business work. So we set out to make a change.

Every member at Hanley Strength is a VIP. Whether you just take group classes, train privately 4 times per week with a coach, or are just dropping in for a workout with a friend, we guarantee that our coaches and staff are there to make sure you are getting closer to your goals.

All of our members receive some level of coaching on proper planning, mindset, as well as nutrition to ensure we are choosing the best strategy to help them reach their goals.
