Our Vaquero of the Week is 11th grader Tori Hicks. Tori is a vital member of our El Capitan Theater class. Ms. Mattis reports that Tori is not only extremely talented, she also helps everyone in the class, including her teacher :) They are performing Agatha Christie’s famous mystery Mouse Trap, with remaining performances the 8th, 9th, 10th of this month at 7:00 in our Events Center. Tori has been acting for 9 years in a variety of productions. Her favorite role was starring as Phyllis Dale in 42nd Street this past summer with Young Actor’s Theater. She has been a part of the El Capitan Theater program all 3 years here.
Tori is a strong student with an overall GPA of 3.21. She has consistently challenged herself by taking AP and Honors courses. Her favorite subject outside of Theater is English. Her goals for post high school are to attend AMDA College in Los Angeles, continuing her career as a Broadway performer.

Exactly!!! Some coaches teach being loud just to be loud. Teaching cheering just to cheer. I always prefer athletes to be tactful and thoughtful. I’ve always thought coaches need to spend more time teaching what to say and why, so the athletes can actually say something important when they do.

CALEB MENDOZA-BURKS - WITCH/MACBETH'S ATTENDANT/ASSASSIN
Caleb is 13 years old and has been involved in theater for the last four years including theatrical performances in Mathilda, Wizard of Oz, Romeo and Juliet, Beauty and the Beast and Pinocchio Jr. Caleb has also been a part of a few comedic acts through BEAT Children’s theater and Cascade Music Theater. Caleb also enjoys playing the drums, track and field, and writing comic books.
