Lot 2: Game Bag by Darren Modzelewski

This beautiful game bag was made by another one of our New and Aspiring Artists, Darren Modzelewski. Inspired by game bags found in numerous mid to late 18th century paintings of European and American hunting scenes, Darren has put thought and care into every detail. The main bag is hand-stitched with linen thread. The body of the bag is constructed from Wickett and Craig leather, while the flap is made from authentically reproduced 18th century Russian leather and lined with sheepskin. The netting is made from linen thread and was hand tied by Susan Modzelewski. The buckles are from Roy Najecki, and the button was made by Mitch Yates. Whether this bag is displayed in your collection, or accompanies you on your next hunt, it will be a treasure for years to come!

Last project to be finished up before we strike out for Knoxville's Tennessee Kentucky Rifle Show is this cartrisge box. The TKRS was the first longrifle show I ever attended and I met the folks who would encourage me to put my work out there. Hopefully I'll see you all there!
