The department is a full service municipal agency that operates the Carlisle Community Pool, the Stuart Community Center, and administers the Borough of Carlisle Shade Tree program. The Carlisle Parks and Recreation Department owns and/or maintains 16 park areas, the municipal building and other facilities totaling more than 175 acres of park land for the community. In addition, the department provides recreational programs and services for all ages such as pre-school programs, dance classes, sport leagues, fitness programs, day camps, craft classes, summer concerts, and more. We recognize social media is a 24/7 medium and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage our staff resources, we generally only monitor comments and postings during
