$Butter cut 🧈 ✂️ Alex's sole miss is a pull left, but it's not all bad. He prefers to hit a little fade, which means he should start the ball centered or slightly left. The real error was the club face angle. It would occasionally go neutral or slightly closed. Golf refers to this miss as a "double cross." I refer to it as a horizontal adduction of the lead arm. Alex and I implemented a position to the swing that would avoid this error regardless of terminology. You'll notice a modified finish position here where Alex does not go all the way around. This is not a permanent swing. It's a very functional swing he can use to trim a few yards and prioritize precision. But it also functions as a drill swing that puts emphasis on the correct position and movement to remedy the miss. This is a 6 iron carrying 180 yards, nearly his full yardage with a fraction of the effort and twice the precision.
