Ladies, if you've ever thought about trying Jiu Jitsu but felt intimidated, you're not alone. Jiu Jitsu isn't about being the strongest person in the room. It's about learning what you're capable of.
Women who train Jiu Jitsu often find benefits that go far beyond the mats:
-Increased confidence
-Better fitness and endurance
-Practical self-defense skills
-Stress relief
-A supportive community
-Mental toughness and resilience
Every black belt started as a beginner, and every woman on the mat remembers what it felt like to walk through the door for the first time. Come see what you're capable of. We think you might surprise yourself!!

Did You Know?
In Jiu Jitsu, a smaller person can successfully defend themselves against a larger opponent using technique, leverage, and timing instead of strength.
Cool huh?😉

Jiu jitsu at this age isn’t about fighting, it’s about learning how to listen, follow directions, and handle challenges in a healthy way. It teaches kids how to stay calm under pressure, how to problem solve, and how to keep going even when something feels hard.
On the mats, they’re learning balance, coordination, and body awareness, but just as important, they’re learning respect, discipline, and how to treat others. They work with partners, take turns, help each other, and build friendships along the way. And honestly… they just have fun. They get to move, roll around, burn off energy, and leave feeling proud of themselves.
If you’ve got a kid with a lot of energy, or one who needs a little confidence boost, this is such a good outlet. We’d love to have them come try a class at Second Grip.
