Member Monday 🦅 Jesus Arenas!

One of the things we love most about Alliance Carlsbad is seeing families grow together through Jiu-Jitsu.

Jesus and his wife Erica are both brown belts, and their 5-year-old son Luca is already making his own memories on the mats, recently winning gold at JJWL Del Mar! 🥇

Erica also gives back by helping capture the moments and memories we get to share with our team.

Meet Jessica Craig!

Jessica is a Technical Project Manager and one of our purple belts here at Alliance Carlsbad.

She started her Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2021 after being introduced to the sport through her husband, who was a blue belt at the time.

Over the past few years, Jessica has faced her share of challenges, but what we appreciate most is her resilience, consistency, and commitment to showing up and being part of the team.

We’re incredibly grateful to have Jessica as part of our Alliance family. Keep doing your thing, Jess! 💜🥋

One of the best things we witness in our academy about is watching someone begin to believe in themselves.

Nick Ardecky started training with us early this year, and we’ve seen how much he’s grown in just a few months.

Professor Mark always talks about becoming 1% better every day and trusting the process. It’s not about being the best in the room. It’s about showing up, improving, and having the confidence to take that next step. Sometimes that means encouraging them to take on challenges they might not have considered themselves ready for.

For Nick, that next step is competing this Saturday 10/10 at JJWL Del Mar.

Meet Anita Silvestre!

Teacher, wife, mom, Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and this weekend, competitor.

Jiu-Jitsu is truly a family affair for the Silvestres. Anita’s husband, Alden, is one of our brown belts and coaches here at Alliance Carlsbad, and both their son and daughter train alongside them.

Between the classroom, raising a family, supporting her kids, and finding time for her own training, Anita continues to lead by example.

This weekend she’ll put that work to the test at JJWL Del Mar, and we’re excited to be in her corner.
