Training friends and neighbors close to 1 year before moving to Carlsbad, New Mexico. July of 2013 we became the only CF Affiliate in Carlsbad, N.M. Where we have been the only CF Affiliate until we decided to go our own direction. Thankful to CF for the outstanding fitness methodology.

Must read for those still confused..
Had a great conversation with Donnie Thompson this weekend about the box squat & some of the things we commonly see done incorrectly. Donnie told me he teaches the box squat to be performed EXACTLY like your regular squat technique. The box is only there to break up the eccentric lower & concentric ascent. By pausing on the box you lose the powerful turnaround, meaning you need to learn how to stay stiff & stable in the bottom position & improve your absolute strength to stand back up.

Stay focused on movement first. Too many times (Including myself) have I seen or done to much too soon and moving weight too fast.
The better you can execute a movement the sooner you will pickup and move heavier weight!
