CaliGolf Instruction
At CaliGolf Academy our Mission is to provide THE PROCESS, Guidance and Tools for your Relentless Pursuit of Golfing Excellence.
Position is not a swing. It may sound like rudimentary statement, but a swing is a swing.
Your position and swing work together, but are two different things.
Everyone wants to “shallow the club,” but here’s the truth, if you’re trying to shallow, you’re already making it steeper.
Late-night lessons at CaliGolf with Mike Maggs (Golf Digest best in State) and Elite Player Coach Tommy Stephenson (Former NCAA Champion)
Working with our student on tempo, transition, and balance and are backed up by our state of art tech… FullSwing and Onform
The “pump drill” is a great drill and there is a huge reason why this is one of Justin Roses favorite drills
Now, today you can train this and get feedback with to get in the right position during your practice sessions.
If you want to checkout Hack Motion for yourself, comment “wrist” and I’ll send you the link so you can try it for yourself
A good lesson doesn’t end when you leave the range. ⛳️
Baze finished this session with a few simple drills to keep the progress going at home:
🏌️ Work underneath the alignment stick to improve club path🎯 Rehearse a square clubface at impact💥 Hit small punch shots with pressure on the lead side🏠 Practice the impact position at home, even without hitting a ball
You don’t need to make full swings to improve your golf swing.
Slow, intentional reps can help you understand where the clubface, hands, hips, and pressure need to be at impact.
Build the position first. Then keep repeating it until it becomes part of your swing.

Progress in golf isn’t instant. It’s earned over time.

Lowest round vs. best round… not always the same thing
It’s about helping people realize they’re better than what they showed up as.
Most golfers come in frustrated. Trying things. Not seeing results.
And at some point, they stop trusting the process.
