Here’s a quick and easy staple meal for anyone that is looking to build muscle while in a calorie deficit.
Pan seared lemon and herb chicken breast with sautéed asparagus and mashed potatoes.
Why it works: chicken breast is high in protein which is great for building muscles. Potatoes are the most satiating food you can eat, plus they are a great carb source and taste delicious. Asparagus is a super low calorie, micronutrient packed vegetable. It’s great for heart health and digestion, supports healthy pregnancies, is rich in antioxidants, is a great source of fiber, and has vitamins A, C, and K.
