Fuzzy Zoeller grew up in New Albany, Indiana, in a house next to a golf course. He started playing at age 3.
In 1979 he walked into Augusta National for the first time and won the Masters in a three-man playoff. He is still the last player to win on his debut at Augusta — 47 years later, nobody has done it since.
In 1984 he waved a white towel in Greg Norman's direction at Winged Foot — certain he'd lost the US Open. Then he shot 67 in the Monday playoff. Norman shot 75. Fuzzy won.
Two majors. Ten Tour wins. Four golf courses designed in Indiana. Indiana Golf Hall of Fame inductee.
Indiana's greatest professional golfer. Most people outside the state still don't know his name.
