🌟 Staff Highlight: Meet Brian Shaw!

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on our amazing Finance Technician, Brian Shaw!

Brian joined the CRPD team in early February. While this is his first role in parks and recreation, he brings years of guest service experience and a passion for helping others. For Brian, working at CRPD is a great way to give back to the Carmichael community and contribute to our neighbors’ quality of life.

As Finance Technician, Brian handles accounts payable, bills, and payroll, helping to “keep the lights on and the water running,” as he likes to say! He also processes payments for Measure G construction projects that are bringing much-needed improvements to our parks.

An outdoor enthusiast who loves camping, Brian’s favorite park is Sutter-Jensen Botanical Garden. He describes it as a secluded getaway in the middle of the city, perfect for recharging and connecting with nature.

When he’s not outdoors, Brian enjoys real-time strategy computer games like Sid Meier’s Civilization, keeping his critical thinking skills sharp both on and off the job.

We’re thankful to have Brian and his unique talents on the CRPD team! 💚
