dogs do take some work but it is not as hard as most make it out to be. Honestly I think to many make it much harder than it needs to be. The hardest thing about it is putting in the time and consistency. It starts the day they come home and the journey doesn't end. As they get older it just looks different

Most pet parents focus on what’s in their pet’s bowl🥣, but this conversation shows that what the food is stored in matters just as much!
Materials like glass, food grade ceramic, and stainless steel sit at the top because they’re inert and don’t interact with food, while plastics fall into a spectrum depending on their type, quality, and condition. More stable plastics like #2, #4, and #5 can be reasonable options, but they’re still not completely inert, especially over time with exposure to fats, heat, and wear. Lower-quality or unknown plastics ( #3, #6, 7) raise more concern due to additives and higher potential for chemical migration, particularly when containers become scratched, cloudy, or degraded. Silicone is stable for short term use, but capable of absorbing oils and odours with long-term use.
One of the most practical takeaways is that storage habits matter: keeping kibble in its original bag and placing the whole bag inside a container helps reduce direct contact and preserves freshness. It’s nearly impossible to eliminate plastic entirely, but reducing long-term exposure from everyday storage is possible.
games without rules that are taught is chaos, games with with rule and understanding is an exquisite event. Play is under used and or misused in the training process. What your games teach is up to the human
having a dog new to the home regardless of age should have a leash on them when we are with them. But there is much more to it with reactive dogs especially. Your dog doesn't know how to be lead and does what they want when they want with little to know direction in life from the human. Then we put them on a leash to take the for a "walk" and have a dog that pulls/reactive. Training starts in your home with your day to day activities, not just when you feel like it

Ever heard someone say "it's all in how you raise them"? Well sorry to burst your bubble but that saying is so far from the truth. Yes how you raise your dog matters. But genetics, breed, temperament, and life experiences play such a huge role in who your dog is and how you raise them is only one small piece of the puzzle. There are so many dogs who have been raised well and still have sh*tty temperaments or come from bad breeding. There are dogs who are raised by terrible dog owners and they turn out just fine. We need to stop using this phrase as it is not doing our dogs any favours! Share if you agree!
