Knowing time doesn’t stand still we must actively pursue the most precious present. While on a flawless skiff my wife, Capt. Bou and I hunted for a legendary bone fish. Our guide knew the spots and put us on for an unforgettable day of fishing with the opportunity to get a permit. These are the moments that make time seam to come to a complete halt and nothing else matters.

Seated on the banks of the Pamlico; awaiting the sight of birds to fly over. This bird dog was elated. With all her excessive enthusiasm and willingness to work. She stole the show. With little turn out. It was worth every minute watching an animal be primal, and domesticated, doing what it was designed for.

As we set out to get a buck for the season turned out to be a scouting report. Kane and Jake set out on an ambitious hunt and came back with a report of bucks only one could dream of at the right distance.
