We built and maintain a top-notch shooting range in a first-rate setting. The 30-plus acre range sits off Rte. 27, just 1.7 miles north of the Sugarloaf Access Road. The CVOA range is available for use by members and guests during all daylight hours, unless members are notified otherwise. CVOA Neal Trask Shooting Range will have its Range Cleanup Day on May 9th, 9am-noon. Thank you BBQ to follow cleanup. Also, if you have kids or grandkids that can help out, we need to have brass picked up from the Rifle and Pistol Ranges. Prize for the most brass collected. Thank you goodies for all kids helping out.

While the rest of the State was under a deluge of rain, Carrabassett Valley stayed dry all morning. Our second annual Davis Doubles Shoot was small but fierce! Big winner was Scott Nichols with a high score of 42! Followed by Ray Stone at 39, and Bob Nichols with a 37. Bob and Scott also won extra prizes for breaking our special clays. A special thank you to Pat Durham and Ed Davis for helping out with scoring. And to Jamison Nichols for his quick reflexes as our official clay puller. Snacks provided by Rosaria Chantrill and myself. Rosaria's banana bread is killer good!
Rain tomorrow but our Doubles Day is still on. We'll shoot from the covered 5 Stand out of the rain. Should be interesting.

Sunday, Aug 31st, morning Trap at 9am will start out with singles trap and then do a few rounds of doubles for anyone who wants to practice before next week's (very friendly) competition.
