Hey MOC friends past, present, and future! After many failed attempts to reconnect with the old Facebook account, we have decided to focus our energy on creating a new page which is linked to our active Instagram. We LOVE our alumni and want to stay connected with you! Go follow the new account 🙂

Hi all, we're the Maine Outing Club, one of UMaine's largest and oldest clubs (we just celebrated 100 years!). Our focus is getting college students outside as much as possible, to experience the joy and natural beauty of Maine. Help us raise money to improve access to our much-loved, historic ski cabin near Sugarloaf. A safe driveway is crucial to allow access for emergency vehicles and club members during the winter. The Cabin Masters did a structural restoration of the building a few years ago, but the driveway was untouched. It is currently in desperate need of repairs including widening, grading, ditching, and installing a culvert. The University of Maine is unaffiliated with the MOC Cabin and therefore will not provide any aid in cabin upkeep whatsoever. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

HEY MAINE OUTING CLUB MEMBERS AND ALUMNI!!

We are doing a big celebration/fundraiser for our 100 year anniversary and want EVERYONE to come and celebrate and share all the good memories they made with the club! It is December 2nd at 8:30pm at Morgan Hill Event Center, located at 82 Morgan Hill Ln, Hermon, Maine. We have a stunning barn style venue, with a full bar, live music provided by a local band, and snacks! You can venmo Maine-OutingClub $15 dollars for a ticket or pay $20 dollars at the door! If you can't attend but would like to donate to the club you can also venmo us. We hope you can all make it, it's going to be a BLAST!!

This is really happening! A few weeks ago, the Maine Cabin Masters met current and past officers at the cabin for the first day of filming. The Cabin Masters are extremely excited for this project, and we can't wait to see how it comes out!

Fun fact we found out from the first day of filming: One of the Cabin Masters actually stayed in the cabin many years ago!

This is a HUGE undertaking by the club, and we need your help to help fund it! Help spread the word by sharing with all your friends and former classmates. ANY donation amount will guarantee you a very special 100th anniversary MOC sticker!

We have a VERY special announcement! The Maine Outing Club cabin has been selected to be remodeled by the Maine Cabin Masters!

This summer, the incredibly talented crew of Cabin Masters will be spending 8-10 weeks at the famous Sugarloaf cabin performing structural repairs, quality of life improvements, and a few special touches while maintaining the spirit of the cabin that over 60 years of club alumni have experienced and loved.

Working with the Cabin Masters has its perks with matched funds, as well as reduced material and labor costs, but the club needs your help! With the help of the University of Maine Foundation, we are fundraising the money needed to complete these repairs for the cabin to be ready to host students and alumni alike for the club’s upcoming 100th anniversary.

With 100 years of alumni, many of whom we have lost touch with, we are encouraging everyone to share this with their friends and family who have been fortunate enough to experience the cabin and would love to see it get the remodel it deserves in front of the whole nation!
