We extend our congratulations to Sifu Mimi Chan and Grand Master Chan on such joyous and important occasion for the Wahlum System!

We proudly announce the new Headmaster 掌門 of the Wah Lum System: Grandmaster Mimi Chan.

On July 19, 2026, the Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis System 華林探腿螳螂門 witnessed a momentous and deeply moving milestone: the official Grandmaster Succession Ceremony.

For over 56 years, our system has flourished worldwide thanks to the extraordinary dedication and vision of Grandmaster Pui Chan. Today, after a lifetime of foundational work, Grandmaster Pui Chan officially passes the torch, stepping into a well-earned retirement and taking on the esteemed title of Great-Grand Master Pui Chan, Sijo Gung (holding Emeritus status).

Grandmaster Mimi Chan now steps forward to continue the Wah Lum tradition, ensuring that the System's light, wisdom, and legacy burn brightly for the future.

We invite the entire martial arts community to join us in honoring Great-Grand Master Pui Chan and offering their unwavering support to our new Grandmaster, Mimi Chan, as she leads us into this exciting new era!

Our deepest condolences to Sifu Tu Truong and the Truong family...

Wah Lum is saddened to share the passing of Mr. Khon Truong, Sifu Tu’s father and a cherished member of our extended Wah Lum family. From joining our early China tours to being a familiar and joyful presence at Lunar New Year celebrations, Mr. Truong was part of many special moments that helped shape our community.

He even made a special cameo in the Discovery Channel documentary Secret of the Warrior’s Power during the Wah Lum feature — a small but meaningful piece of our shared history.
His kindness, support, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
We send our love and heartfelt condolences to the Truong family during this difficult time. Mr. Truong’s memory will always remain part of the Wah Lum family.
