The fencing world is in mourning. A great friend and FIT supporter passed away October 14, 2026. Jerry Benson loved fencing, and loved sharing his knowledge. Many a NAC dinner was shared listening to “old war stories.” He loved our sport and strived to make us all better coaches, club managers, referees and sportsmen. But first and foremost, Jerry adored his family and loved sharing stories about them.
May you rest in the arms of the angels and may your loved ones find peace in their memories of you. We love you Jerry. You will be missed.

Great weekend FIT in Houston at the Battle in Space City!

FIT fencers had a strong showing at the Battle in Space City ROC/RJCC, bringing great results and plenty of Top 8 finishes. Congratulations to everyone who competed and represented FIT!
