Accepting Nominations 2026

Hey everyone - nominations for the Robert D Nelson Heart of the Community Award is open.
Nominate someone who (criteria):
Gives selflessly of their time, energy, and resources
Prioritizes the growth of others over their own personal or financial gain
Creates inclusive and welcoming spaces for dancers of all levels
Quietly supports those going through hard times, much like Robert did when he offered "buddy deals" or free studio time

Eligibility:
Nominee must be in good standing with local and greater WCS community
Open to USA and International WCS dancers
Must be 18 years old or older
Prior year winners not eligible
Attendance at Wild Wild Westie is not required to win

Deadline to submit your nominee is June 28, 2026 at 12:00am CT
