I want to thank each and every one of you for making this event possible year after year. The solid support from the masters, students and parents, the referees, volunteers and the tournament staff, you have made this event successful every year. Your dedication and love for Taekwondo are always appreciated and remembered.
As you know, we changed the tournament venue from Cal State Dominguez Hills to here, Cerritos College. I am glad I have made this choice as you can see, this venue is much better, also with convenient parking. I believe I will make this venue as our tournament site every year.
Thanks again and I look forward to seeing all of you again next year at the 24th Annual YLI

• Non Certified Referee: $50
• USAT or AAU Certified D Level: $65
• USAT or AAU Certified C Level: $80
• USAT or AAU Certified B Level: $95
• USAT or AAU Certified A Level: $110
• International Referee IR: $130
• USAT or AAU Certified Poomsae Referee will receive additional $10
• If bring in an ipad with iPoomsae pre-loaded will receive additional $10

I am pleased to announce that online registration for the 23rd Annual Yushen Lai’s Invitational Taekwondo Championship is now open at www.laitournament.com. Please register as soon as possible for the early registration discount (1st 10 competitors registered will receive a tournament gift on the day of the tournament). Deadline for early discount will end on 1/20/2020. Tournament Poster & Brochure will be mailed out to all Dojangs in the beginning of December. Please call me at 310-212-6010 or email me if you do not receive it by the 15th of December.
I will be hosting a USAT Referee Certification Seminar on Saturday 1/25/2020 again. This seminar will be conducted by an International Referee appointed by the USAT.
I sincerely invite you to participate in this seminar and please remember this seminar is a good opportunity for you to learn the new rules & changes from USAT and WT, as well as gain credit for certifying and/or upgrading your referee rank. I would like to inform you that the 23rd Annual Yushen Lai’s Invitational TKD Championship’s date and venue have been changed to February 1st, 2020 at the Cerritos College. It was originally scheduled on February 29th, 2020 at CSU Dominguez Hills. This is due to February 29 is the same date as US Open.

The USAT Referee Seminar has also changed to Saturday January 25th, 2020.

Tournament Poster and Brochure will be mailed out in the beginning of December.

I am pleased to announce that the 23rd Annual Yushen Lai’s Invitational Taekwondo Championship will be scheduled on Saturday February 29th, 2020 at the Toro Gym CSU Dominguez Hills.

We will make every attempt to make this event as fair and enjoyable as possible for all participants and it is my sincere hope that we will exceed your expectations.

Yushen Lai’s Invitational TKD Championship

Below are hi-lights for our event in 2020:
1. As you all may know, events produced by my team are well known for their use of the Automated Match Scheduling (AMS) System. The system removes the staging area process, thus eliminating unnecessary wait times for competitors. To ensure tournament efficiency and fairness, all rings will be equipped with electronic scoring systems
2. Daedo Electronic Hogu will be used for Black Belts all ages. There will be 3 Rings designated for only Black Belts.
3. Competition Poomsae for all Black Belts.
4. One Free Coach Pass will be provided to each school sending a minimum of 10 students, and one additional free coach pass for every 10 students thereafter.
5. All color belt divisions will be a maximum of 4 competitors.
6. A USAT Referee Certification Seminar will be conducted on Saturday 2/8/2020, two weeks before the tournament.
7. Each participating referee in our tournament will receive honorarium outlined below:
• Non Certified Referee: $50
• USAT Certified D Level: $70
• USAT Certified C Level: $80
• USAT Certified B Level: $90
• USAT Certified A Level: $100
• International Referee IR: $120
• USAT Certified Poomsae Referee will receive additional $10
