We’ve got a cold front coming in to southern Illinois this week so it’s about (damn) time to get some musky fishing on.
Got some friends to come fish a new body of water with me this fall as well.
Only need 2-3 more baits to round out by collection well.
Honest.
I managed to snag these like new H20 6” Rippers last week. This is a phenomenal bait that I guess falls in the dive and rise category, but truthfully defies that classification.
It darts. It janks. It bobs and weaves…and it rarely goes just straight like a traditional DNR.
Just look at it. Have you ever seen a bait with that shape and design before? Roger Watter’s an absolute genius and it’s a shame his ideas haven’t been as lauded as (I feel) they should be.
I also have an 8” and 7”, but frankly I’m most excited for the 6” (said no woman ever…). Just playing around with it at the dock it hangs just as well as the larger ones, but with a sharper, tighter action.
Can’t wait to give these a proper sling in a few short days.
What baits are you guys excited to try out this fall/winter?
