Hancock County Gun Club

Hancock County Gun Club We're a gun club located in central western Illinois. We have an indoor range, a 300-yard outdoor range and 2 trap fields. Dues up to $50.00 per year.

We were founded in 1950 by local competitive pistol shooters and have since expanded to handgun, shotgun and rifle sports. A not-for-profit shooting establishment helping to teach people marksmanship, providing camaraderie and a place to practice shooting, engage in the shooting sports, contests and just have fun. We have a trap shooting league, and a .22 rifle leagues twice a year, pistol league in the Winter/Spring. Annual meeting is 3rd Wednesday of March, and is a carry-in dinner (wild game if you have it) and several members only shooting events each month except December as there is no meeting that month. We also have several shoots open to the public each year to test your marksmanship. Check the web page for actual dues amounts.

Today was the first day of Tight Group League. Don't worry if you missed it, you can shoot back a week next week. The object is to shoot as tight a group as you can at either 100 and 300 yards away. Guns are classed by rimfire or centerfire, open/peep sights or power of scope. Ten shots and One Dollar a target. 10:00 AM Saturday.

Starting tomorrow. Sub-gauge trap league.
Shooting Starts at 6:00pm

Shooters can shoot 20, 28 and 410 gauge shotguns from the 16yard line on the trap field. Squads will be formed as shooter arrive so no teams are needed. Shooter will shoot 25 birds per night. The cost will be $6.00 per 25 birds.

Participants will need to assist set up and teardown.
