MVP Athletics 13u went down to Perfect Game Super 25 in Charlotte this weekend against some of the best teams in NC, as well as a couple from surrounding states and made it to the Semi-Finals. Lost to a strong Evoshield Canes team who ended up winning it all. The kids hit well against some elite pitching, defense was great, and everyone had a GREAT time! Very proud of all the boys and parents!

MVP Athletics 13u is currently fundraising for the 2016 Spring Season which will be starting up in a couple months. Last year our Super Bowl Squares fundraiser was a huge success!

If you have never played Super Bowl Squares before it's just a fun way to get everyone involved in the Super Bowl even if they are not huge football fans. You take a poster board, draw 100 squares put the name of one team on the top and the other team on the left hand side. Then everyone buys however many squares they want & their names go on the board randomly 1 for each square they buy. Then you randomly draw the #'s 0-9 for across the top and 0-9 for the left hand side and write them down for each row. At the end of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th quarters you take the second digit of each teams score and locate that square on the board. Whosever name is in that square wins 25% of the total cash pot for that quarter.

This is a great way to achieve team fundraising goals as well as having some fun with our friends & family! Everyone has a chance to win over 10x's their money during the Super Bowl as well helping out MVP 13u reach their goals this season. We are selling Super Bowl Squares for $20 apiece. The winner of each quarter will receive $250 for a $20 investment. Yes it is possible for the same person to win multiple quarters!! That equals $1000 total pot, the other $1000 will be donated to MVP 13u baseball team to help fund their upcoming spring baseball tournaments!

I have attached a copy of the Super Bowl Square Ticket, if you would like to help by buying a ticket please let any family on the team know and we will fill one out with your information to be included on the board. Once your $20 entry fee is received a square with your name will be randomly entered on the board! Last year many of our friends & family bought squares via PayPal this was by far the most effective method of payment. If you and the team family you know both have PayPal accounts this option is encouraged.

Once the board is completely filled out we will draw the #'s 0-9 for top & side of the board & send a group e-mail to everyone who purchased a square showing a picture of the board with their #'s. We will also post this picture of the board here on our FB team website! This will be done prior to the Super Bowl obviously, so you can follow along and root for your score to win! The Super Bowl this year is Sunday February 7th, 2016. The deadline for buying a square is Thursday February 4th, unless of course all the squares are sold prior to this date.

In honor of Veterans Day, here's an All-Star team of MLB war veterans Let's make an All-Star team of MLB veterans here on this Veteran's Day. Every single player here is a Hall of Famer who served in the U.S. military.

Boys came up short at The Ripken Experience on Sunday after a great Sat. earning the #1 Seed, but couldn't have asked for a more fun last weekend to end the Fall Season!! What an unbelievable group of players, coaches & families. Looking forward to what the future holds for this talented group of young men. Enjoy a well deserved off-season boys, can't wait till the Spring!! Go MVP
