It's very hard to put into words how fulfilling it was to pull off another incredible . The sense of community and family was truly overwhelming. We have a lot to be thankful for, and a lot of people to thank:
First off, this event would have never happened nor be possible if Billy Catlin had not had the idea, and talked me (Matt Canter) into trying to organize this charity concert with the help of Jennifer Foran Douglass, Chris Douglass, and Patrick Hurley two and a half yrs ago. Pat yourselves on the back friends, we make a really good team!
Upstream Rebellion , Jammy Buffet , and Clay Street Unit absolutely crushed it, and put on a show that all walks of life and age groups enjoyed. We thank you immensely for giving us a shot....I'm sure you don't get too many calls from as a venue for a concert.
Our headliner sponsors Cashiers Lake NC and Crawford Construction were unbelievably supportive of what we are doing and stood behind us the whole way. Thank you for being the best of neighbors!
Whether it was providing ice to keep our drinks cold, to offering up parking lots, or keeping our bellies full, thank you Happs Place Barn & Grill , Fork Grove Barbecue , Chile Loco , Cornucopia Restaurant , Chile Loco , The Grand Olde Station , The Highlands Hatter , United Community Bank , Woof Gang Bakery Cashiers NC , Cashiers United Methodist , Marshall Clark and Dicky Puckett.
This would never be possible without the help of a ton of volunteers (too many to name) that selflessly gave up their own to chip in and help raise funds for habitattransylvania
Our staff here Brookings Anglers .... well you impress me every single day, and this past weekend was no different. There's no better team out there, and no one can convince me otherwise.
And finally, thanks to all of you who bought tickets, hats, shirts, drinks, etc . You are the most respectful group of patrons we could ever ask for.
