Casper Rec Center TKD

Last night we promoted the students from the April 30th state wide testing from the Rec Center. 1 to 8th gup 2 t0 7th gup and 5 to 6th gup. Caleb Kendrick won Best Pattern. Also attending was Grand Master Martin, Mrs Kuhl, Mr Mason, and myself. I am very proud of all who tested and promoted. Thanks for the hard work.

We conducted promotions last night in class. 7th and 8th gups. We"ve had a difficult time getting this testing and promotion co coordinated, between COVID and vacations. We persevered and got through it. Congratulations to all

It's with a heavy heart I announce the passing of Mrs Linda Story this morning. She lost a hard fought battle with cancer. She was an excellent assistant instructor as the Rec Center who loved working with the kids. She was not only one the leaders at the Rec Center but for Wyoming as well.she will be truely missed by all. God Bless her and her family in this time of sorrow.

Last night we conducted a partial color belt testing. We'll finish next week as we've had students off with COVID and on vacation. More to follow.

Wyoming had the last Black belt/red belt class Saturday December 4th. Class was taught by Master Flynn of Rock Springs. He discussed the importance of getting juniors in front of class for warm ups, etc to get them used to being there. He also taught training in limited space. 20 minutes a day in place. He ran a 20 minute in place kicking drill and had the whole class sweating. Excellent class Master Flynn. Wyoming's newest Master.

On October 16th Steel Dragons TKD of Casper hosted a basic Ho Sin Sul seminar taught by Master Giese. 43 students and Instructors from all over the state of Wyoming attended. Master Giese taught an excellent course, as usual. A good time was had by all who arrended.

Sept 18th the Rec Center hosted the 21st Annual Wyoming Invitational - USTF Taekwon-Do Tournament. There was 15 schools in attendance from Wyoming Colorado Nebraska Utah Montana and Washington. 101 students competed for top ho ors in Sparring Patterns and Breaking. Master Sisco was Tournament Promoter. Mr Flynn was Tournament Director Mrs Connell Chief Referee. Master Giese supervised an Mrs Wilcox assisted. Thanks to all who attended and helped Referee.

Tuesday night Grand Master Martin, myself, and Mrs Kuhl presented Mrs Story with her 4th dan uniform. An honor for sure.

Mr Joe Mason joined class Friday night. It was a lot fun having an unexpected guest in class.
