⚾🎉 Happy New Year, Casper Youth Baseball Family! 🎉⚾
A new year means new goals, new friendships, and new opportunities to grow—on and off the field. Thank you for supporting youth baseball in our community. Let’s make this season the best one yet!

Dear Casper Youth Baseball Families,
We wanted to let you know about some upcoming changes to the Field of Dreams Baseball Complex. As you may or may not know, the City of Casper received a grant that allows upgrades to the Field of Dreams baseball fields. Because of this grant, all six infields will be replaced with artificial turf. The outfield grass will remain. This will bring some exciting changes such as:
· No need for fields to be prepped. All fields will have permanent foul lines.
· Moveable bases. This means that fields can be changed to be used by different divisions. With this change, we are hoping to be able to have T-ball teams playing on the fields in 2027.
· Portable pitching mounds. Pitching mounds won’t have to be rebuilt due to erosion by weather or players.
· Fewer weather cancellations. Since the fields won’t get muddy, we won’t have to cancel games as often due to unsafe playing conditions.
While we are anticipating the positive changes to the fields, construction on them will likely pose some challenges to our 2026 season. While we don’t know the schedule of construction, we do know that construction will not be finished before the season begins. We are working closely with the Parks and Recreation Department to make sure that we have fields available, however some of the changes to the 2026 season may include:
· Fewer available fields. This means that to accommodate all teams, we may schedule games on Thursdays, Fridays, and possibly Saturdays.
· Change in game location. Some games may be moved to the North Casper softball fields or George Tani field across the street
· Change in T-Ball field location. Instead of T-ball being played between fields 5 and 6, they will be played in the grass between the street and fields 1 and 2.
· Condensed season length. Some divisions may have their season shortened by a few weeks. We are planning to schedule the same amount of games, which will mean that teams may play 3 games a week instead of 2.
· Rainouts may not be rescheduled. If they are rescheduled they may take place on Friday or Saturday.
· Most practices will happen at parks instead of on the fields. Parks and Recreation plans to have backstops added to some of the local parks. Equal scheduling for each team will take place with a sign up system. We are also looking into other locations as a possibility for practice locations to accommodate teams.
We are asking for flexibility during this season. We are willing to compromise the work for this project so that Casper Youth Baseball can benefit for years to come. Please know that we, the CYB Board, will be doing everything we can to keep things running smoothly and make 2026 a great season for the players. We will do our best to keep everyone informed with regards to construction updates and changes. Please reach out to the board if you have any questions. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Casper Youth Baseball Board of Directors

Casper Youth Baseball Christmas Parade Participants
For tomorrow’s Casper Christmas Parade, please park at the Goodstein Parking Lot (on Ash Street across from Raccas).
