I finally made it back out into the gym. My excuse is no different than anyone else’s. I let life get to busy and didn’t follow through with my health priorities. Here’s to day 1!

Flexibility matters! Sometimes plans change. I had planned today to hit the gym after taking our grandson to school. Unfortunately , a phone call about another grandson having a fever meant he couldn’t go to daycare. Instead of anyone missing work I was able to change my schedule and stay home with Copeland. Yes it meant I would need to get in an early morning workout if I wanted to meet that goal. I’m glad I have the ability to make those choices. Of course I’ll be dead tired by 7pm since I got up at 3am but all is good.

I’m not even sure what that means to me considering my life as a parent lasts 7 days a week Lol. It has been an emotional and eye opening couple of weeks though. Lots of revaluations, disappointments and lessons learned. I made it though in good spirit to today. I committed to the gym 4 days so far this week. My nutrition is coming along and my mental health isn’t yet destroyed Lol. I’m winning in my opinion and that’s what matters. Happy Friday!

“ Do today what should be done.” And so I did. Too many times I’ve found myself overwhelmed with the list ahead. The only way I’ve ever overcome that feeling is to get up and get started. I’ve found my worries never disappear by simply procrastinating. Happy Thursday!

I finally started in on the cold shower thing over the weekend. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but it wasn’t great Lol. I’ve been trying to put together a small list of things that have helped me regain some focus. Morning reading, quiet time, my workouts, keeping a food log and a few minutes for evening reflection. It sounds like a big list but honestly, other than my gym routine, it’s a small amount of “ me time,” and effort to put into myself.
