The Natrona County Sheriff Cadet program is operated out of the Natrona County Sheriff's Office, as an opportunity for young adults to experience what it is like to be a Law Enforcement Officer. The Natrona County Sheriff Cadets program accepts young adults who are between 14 and 21 years of age who are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. Persons interested in joining the program o
r learning more about the program can contact the Natrona County Sheriff's Office directly, or contact the program through the link on this page. Prospective members must pass a written test, provide a writing sample, and pass an oral board evaluation. Once accepted into the program members will be provided with uniform shirt and pants, and some duty gear. Training ranges from criminal law, to traffic stops, to high-risk tactical scenarios. Cadets meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month (sometimes more), and on some weekends for training. Cadets participate in community service events such as the trick or treat trail, the Casper Marathon, and others. This is an official page of the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office, Casper, Wyoming.
