DID NATE MINER JUST COOK A WYOMING ALL-STAR RECORD? 😭🔥
The 2026 Wyoming All-Star Game was loaded.
South had dudes!: Dylan Archibald, Colin Bailey, Dashaal Baysinger, Brady Cook, Trace Fildy, Carsten Freeburg, Kam Nath, Dylan Shumway, Cordell Spoonhunter, and Dax Taylor. Brady and Carsten coming off an incredible high school careers, Cordell is a dog and Kam is one of the most athletic dudes in 4A and the Green River boys! South had dogs!
North had plenty too: Carter Alvar, Jack Andela, Cody Bomengen, Cooper Cannon, Zak Hastie, Nate Miner, Gavin Patik, Max Potas, Nathan Preator, and Mitchell Strohschein. Carter basically had a home-game feel heading to Casper College, Max was coming off a generational 1A run, Gavin had a monster senior season, and the Thermopolis boys were fresh off back to back chips, Gavin is fresh off the state championship run and mitch and coop both had tough hs careers!
This game had heat written all over it! 🔥And it did not disappoint!
Because right of the rip Nate Miner went full NBA 2K Takeover Mode. 😤
No glazing, but he really went nuclear.. ☢️
First shot? Pull-up from about 24 feet. Cash.
First quarter? 5-for-7 from three.
Final total? 37 points. That might be a record?!🤷♂️
And with the game on the line, just over 24 seconds left, Nate drilled a huge three to put North up 106-102.
That’s big-shot making.
That’s all-star stuff.
That’s one final stamp on an unreal Wyoming high school career.
On All-Star Saturday night, there were some wyoming legends in the building, but Nate Miner showed up different. 🔥🏀

BROOKLYN SHEAFF GAVE KELLY WALSH THAT “NOT TODAY” ENERGY 🔒🔥
WyoHoops caught up with Brooklyn from the Kelly Walsh girls basketball team after a strong opening day at the Summer Showcase.
Brooklyn helped KW go 3-1 on day one and was voted by coaches and refs as the Girls Defensive Player of the Weekend.
She talked about why transition basketball is such a big part of their success, what leadership looks like on a team, and how much energy the tournament had from start to finish.

RAWLINS VARSITY PULLED UP AND GOT THAT SUMMER WORK IN 😤🏀
The Rawlins Outlaws made the trip to the WyoHoops Summer Showcase and came ready to hoop and get better.
That’s what summer basketball is about — getting in the gym, seeing different matchups they wont see in the regular season, playing tough teams, and stacking reps before the season gets here.
Rawlins brought a varsity squad with dudes like Lucas Wells, Fischer Murray, Christopher Gonzalez, Gavin Greene, Timothy Philio, Bryce Stolns, Jorge Hernandez, Leo Lavato, Kale Bertelsen, and Aaron Martinez all getting valuable court time against strong competition and ducking zero smoke.
Summer is all about finding out who’s ready, who’s growing, who can compete, and what the team needs to sharpen up before winter.
Rawlins showed up, competed, got buckets and got better.
Respect to Coach David Greninger and the Outlaws for pulling up to Casper and being part of the Summer Showcase.
Summer reps matter.
Wyomin hoops is growing.

LOE VS NATRONA WAS A WHOLE MOVIE 😭🔥
This game had everything.
Natrona had Garrett Patik getting downhill, Cooper Rogers causing problems in transition, and Josiah Coleman flying around with a huge late-game dunk. Then.. Prin Williams with the clutch freethrow! 🏀
LOE answered with Corbin Dutcher scoring, Gavin Patik playnaking and putting dudes in basketball jail, Zaven Thomas hitting big shots, and Carter Alvar delivering one of the wildest moments of the entire weekend.
Regulation was chaos.
Overtime was even crazier.
Then Carter catches one from DEEP and bangs a huge three to send it to double OT. The gym lost it. 😭
Double OT comes down to the wire… and Orin Williams steps to the line and hits the game-winning free throw to send Natrona to the semis against Cheyenne Central.
Certified Summer Showcase classic.

CHEYENNE CENTRAL SHOWED UP TO THE SUMMER SHOWCASE READY FOR WAR... SO WE HAD TO ASK JACE DAVIS WHAT THE SECRET WAS 👀🔥
WyoHoops got a chance to sit down with Jace Davis from the Cheyenne Central Tribe — yeah, that Cheyenne Central team.
The one that pulled up to the Summer Showcase and left undefeated. ☠️
Jace gave us some insight into his game, his mindset, and what makes the Tribe so effective on the court.
And after watching them all weekend, it makes sense.
Central wasn’t just winning games — they were playing connected. Tough defense, boxing out everytbing, smart basketball, big shots, and dudes who knew their roles. No panic. No soft possessions. Just hoopers making winning plays.🏀 Fun basketball to watch!
AVA TAYLOR WAS OUT THERE PLAYING LIKE 2A WAS JUST A TYPO 😤🔥
Ava Taylor, a junior from BigHorn, pulled up to the WyoHoops Summer Showcase and made noise all weekend.
Big shots. Scrappy plays. Tough defense. Winning energy. Ava was right in the middle of everything for the BigHorn girls as they battled their way all the way to the championship game.
Her and Afton Cummins helped lift that young squad through a tough bracket, knocking off big-time competition and proving real quick that BigHorn wasn’t worried about classifications. They were focused on buckets!
After a huge win over a bigger school, we got a chance to hear what Ava had to say — and you can tell she’s got that quiet confidence coaches love.
BigHorn eventually fell just short to a tough Natrona team in a championship battle that came down to the wire, but Ava and the Lady Rams showed everybody something:
Small school does not mean small game.
Ava Taylor is only a junior.
BigHorn has pieces coming back.
And the future over there is looking real loud. 👀🏀

BP ELITE WALKED INTO 19U WITH 14 AND 15 YEAR OLDS LIKE “RUN IT” 😭🔥
BP Elite pulled up to the WyoHoops Summer Showcase as one of the youngest squads in the Boys Varsity / 19U division… and they still said, “Yeah, we’ll play with the big dogs.”
That’s bold.
That’s big dog mentality.
That’s ducking zero smoke.
These boys weren’t hiding in a soft bracket. They played up, battled older teams, got buckets, took their lumps, made plays, and got better every game.
Parker Key — yeah, that’s my boy — was out there getting real reps against older competition. Finley Strong, Zach Ferguson, Silas Strong, Colton Banks, Greyson Wicks, and Ashton Purdum all stepped into the fire and competed.
That’s how you grow.
You don’t get better running from pressure.
You get better by pulling up against grown varsity bodies and finding out what your game is made of.
BP Elite may have been young, but they showed up with confidence, toughness, and no fear.
Respect to these boys for coming to Casper, playing up, getting after it, and representing.
Young squad. Big division.

BIGHORN GIRLS WALKED IN AND PLAYED LIKE CLASSIFICATIONS WERE OPTIONAL 😤🔥💯
The BigHorn Girls pulled up to the WyoHoops Summer Showcase and proved real quick that small school does not mean small game.
Tough buckets. Loud communication. Wrap-you-up defense. Everybody bought in. The BigHorn girls lead all girls teams in causing jump balls on defense.. Hoop heads know these type of teams. 😬
Led by Coach Coty Nikont, along with Amanda Cummins and Reata Mullinax, this group battled through a tough weekend and pushed all the way to the championship against a strong Natrona squad — and that one came down to the absolute wire.
Afton Cummins was a problem everywhere.
Ava Taylor played big time amd hit some big shots.
Teeka Baker brought thatsenior toughness and grit.
And Tinley Barnes, Emery Taylor, Rylin Arnel, and Kaycie Butts gave BigHorn depth, energy, and a whole lot of future.
Afton and Teeka are seniors. Ava and Rylin are juniors... The rest are young young 😬
That should scare people. 😂
BigHorn came in as a small 2A squad and left looking like a team nobody wants to see in amy classification!
Small school. Big game. Real program. 🔥
NATE MINER GOT A RING… AND NOW HE’S TAKING THAT SAME WORK ETHIC TO THE NEXT LEVEL 😤🏀
WyoHoops sat down with Nate Miner from Sheridan High School — one of the dudes who helped lead the Broncs to the 2026 Class 4A State Championship alongside his boys Brayden, Johnny, Riley etc..
But Nate wasn’t just along for the ride..
He averaged 17 points per game, shot 48% from the field, 40% from three, led Sheridan with 424 total points, grabbed 106 rebounds, and dropped 13 points in the Broncs’ 52-47 state championship win over Natrona County.
That’s more than a good season for bro.. That’s state champion production, leading a great squad. 🔥
Now Nate is headed to Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, where he’ll take that same work ethic, confidence, and leadership to the next level.
In the interview, Nate talks about what it really takes — the workouts, the mindset, the confidence, the leadership, and the difference between wanting to play college basketball and actually preparing like you belong there. He walks us theough how to build confidence and the sacrifices great players make.
