Despite being blind, Ducky has told us she is up for anything and nothing will stop her from “being a real horse”. So we’ve partnered up with in Montana to help Ducky achieve all that she can and more.

LES Haven Ranch is a blind horse sanctuary with a extra special place in their hearts for those horses that are born blind. At LES Haven, Ducky will be joining a herd of other blind horses, learning how to train under saddle, and participate in therapies across the board. We cannot WAIT to see her shine!

Duck Duck 🦆🦆, you will be so incredibly missed by the CAWS family but we are so thrilled for you. 💕

Ducky and Jessi will be hitting the road on June 22nd for the trip up to St. Ignatius, MT. If you’d like to help cover our gas bills with donations or gas cards we’d love the support!

We are thrilled to share that Blue Rose Ranch Horse Rescue & Adoption has awarded us a $500 grant toward Ducky's bills at CSU for her pneumonia stay back in April! What an incredibly generous and unexpected gift, we are so thankful!

The post we’ve ALL been waiting for…. It’s official! Our baby girl Henley is ADOPTED!! ✨✨✨

When Jordan and her sister-in-law Sophie reached out wanting to know more about possibly adding Henley to their family, something just felt right from the first conversation. Both of these ladies have young infants of their own, who will get to grow up right alongside our draft cross little girl.

Henley, now forever named Briar, moved to her new home in the beautiful mountains of Conifer yesterday. I may have cried but it was alone in my truck so no one knows.

But wait! THERE’S MORE!!! 🙌✨

Can you believe the coincidence that Briar is living at the same barn as our pregnant Rhiannon? Since the landowner was already fostering for CAWS, we took the opportunity to ask about Cassidy joining on the adventure. She will get to hang out with Briar while she is in quarantine before joining her new herd and hopefully find a family of her own in the meantime. This provided a perfect opportunity for the babies to be weaned, and for the volunteers out in Parker to work with mama Enva on her confidence + trust building. 💕

Today I had the pleasure of helping a supporter of CAWS haul this broodmare to her retirement home. At 24, Perfect has had 15 (that’s not a typo) foals and finds herself ready to deliver number 16 sometime this summer. When our friend met her, she knew Perfect needed to retire and offered the breeder to buy her.

Perfect will have one last baby and spend her golden years as the spoiled, much loved mare she’s always deserved to be. Thank you for trusting CAWS to be a part of the start of her new life, it was an honor! 💜

Our dear friend Tracy is teaching an exciting new class! Pretty much all of you should go.

We’re excited to share that our very own Tracy Vroom will be leading an Introductory Tellington TTouch Clinic at Medicine Horse!

TTouch is a gentle, hands-on method developed by Linda Tellington-Jones that helps improve relaxation, body awareness, balance, movement, and overall well-being in both animals and people. Through specific circular touches, bodywork techniques, and movement exercises, TTouch can help reduce stress and tension while strengthening the connection between horse and human.

Many equine bodyworkers, trainers, and horse owners incorporate TTouch into their work because of its ability to support physical comfort, emotional balance, and improved performance in a non-invasive way.

Even better, this clinic supports an incredible cause. All proceeds will go directly toward therapy scholarships at Medicine Horse, helping individuals and families gain access to life-changing equine-assisted programs.

When you attend, you’re not only learning valuable skills to support horses, but you’re also helping make healing and growth accessible to others in your community.
