Foster dad Blaize loves his lil baby girl, though sometimes the sass level leaves him wishing to be elsewhere 😂

I’ll post some updates of her surgery soon! We are working closely with CSU for her recovery.

Five weeks post-op and Grace’s eye socket is healing so nicely! Very proud of this girl’s bravery, she has a lot of trauma response to her face being touched (from previously being in so much pain!) but every day she gets a little more confident in understanding that the pain is gone.

We are considering a forever foster home situation for this girl and with her bestie Nora. We’ve never seen a mare protect another mare like Grace does for Nora (who is fully blind). It’s incredible to watch even though they’ve only been together for a month, cannot dream of separating them now.

Little Sasha has been in her foster home in Longmont for a week now and is completely thriving! She joined her foster mama Sarah as a companion for Sarah’s freshly weaned filly Molly.

When Sasha left CAWS she would only accept b***y scratches 😂 and within a week of trust building, Sarah already has a halter on her! So proud of their progress and grateful for this incredible volunteer to continue the gentling process for this yearling.

Can’t wait for more updates, thank you Sarah for loving her!
