Shobukan Colorado Martial Arts is a not for profit club teaching Goju Ryu Karate for self defense and Matayoshi Kobudo (weapons).

We are a satellite club of a national organization with ties to martial arts organizations in Okinawa and Japan. Karate classes are taught by Sensei Sam walker, who has been in karate since 1982. Classes are focused on self defense. This one was sparked by a discussion with a group about defending against a shoot, when I said I didn't like the classical wrestling defense. To answer ahead of time,. Yes I've used this on people that wrestled in college and high school, and against a couple of friends that were sandan or better in judo and ju jitsu. It worked.
