FIELD HOCKEY: SOUTHERN COLUMBIA 0, BLOOMSBURG 4

The Tigers battled hard against another strong opponent, falling 4-0 to Bloomsburg. Southern showed improvement throughout the game and allowed just one goal in the second half. Lainey Jones recorded 9 saves on 14 shots on goal. The Tigers created several offensive opportunities but couldn't find the cage. Southern returns to action Monday at 5 p.m. against Warrior Run for Senior Night!

GIRLS SOCCER: SOUTHERN COLUMBIA 1, HUGHESVILLE 2

The Tigers battled back in the second half but fell 2-1 to Hughesville tonight. Alyssa Conner put Southern on the board with just under seven minutes remaining, cutting the deficit to one, but the Tigers were unable to find the equalizer before the final whistle.

FIELD HOCKEY: SOUTHERN COLUMBIA 1, MUNCY 3

The Tigers battled hard to the final whistle but came up short against Muncy, 3-1. Southern Columbia converted its lone goal on a corner, with Leah Fenstermacher finding the back of the cage.

The Tigers recorded 11 shots on goal, while Muncy had 16. Lainey Jones had another outstanding game in goal, making 13 saves.

GIRLS SOCCER: SOUTHERN COLUMBIA 3, NORTH SCHUYLKILL 2

The Tigers battled to a hard-fought 3-2 victory over North Schuylkill! Macie Swank, Alyssa Conner, and Kailee Helwig each found the back of the net to lead Southern Columbia to the win. Lexie Pensyl had an outstanding game with 3 assists, while Tori Haupt and Kailee Helwig each added an assist. Great team effort by the Tigers to earn the victory!

FOOTBALL: SOUTHERN COLUMBIA 48, MONTOURSVILLE 13

Grady Garcia led the Tigers with 194 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Ayden Hockenbroch threw 3 touchdown passes, with Blaise Kissinger hauling in 2 of them. The Tiger defense played a strong game, completely shutting down Montoursville’s rushing attack.

FIELD HOCKEY: SOUTHERN COLUMBIA 0, MIDD-WEST 7

The Tigers fell 7-0 to a strong Midd-West team. The girls once again held their own and continued to show improvement throughout each quarter. Southern showed a strong offensive effort in the second half and continued to battle until the final whistle.

Huge congratulations to Lainey Jones on reaching 600 career saves! What an incredible accomplishment! 🏑👏
